Project 104 - Launch party

I was recently invited too a collection launch party by the lovely Sarah at over from Project 104 swimwear. It was my first ever fashion event so I was definitely more than excited to be invited. It was small, intimate with beautiful swimwear, cool looking people and fee alcohol. What more could you want? Although I came rather late and didn't stay for long it was a great first experience and I'm very grateful too have been invited to come along.

I first heard of 'Project 104' when I was a shoot assistant on a photo shoot with an amazing photographer Oliver Morris. Project 104's last collection was used and I fell completely in love. The pieces are so unique, nothing like I've ever seen before and that's why I love the brand so much. I've never been a swimwear type of girl in which I mean I avoid going places where I would need too wear a swimming costume or bikini however these pieces make me want too get on the beach and flaunt what my mamma gave me. Unfortunately I rely on my iPhone too capture pictures and it let me down last night. Below are a few of the only ones I got from the night. Some of the collection and the other two with my awesome friend and boyfriend who I dragged along with me. They totally loved it though...

'It was inspired by a controversial 1967 poster by Alan Aldridge of a naked women directly painted on for Penguin Books our "International Showgirl" prints channel three different lands into showgirl charters. The artwork is roused from these places, applied directly to colored female forms.

We welcome you to our characters "Viv le fox Vegas", "Bibi Calcutta" and "Clarissa Von Cairo". Our international extravaganza is topped off with fourth character "Goldie" who adds (anything but) plain gold to the mix. This is a show not to miss.'  - from the leaflet I picked up after the night.

So their new collection which is called 'International Showgirl' was a sea of pinks and golds, a really great combination. I loved the look of everything and I didn't know it would be possible to beat their old collection but they really did well. The event was set up in a city loft in East London. I loved the whole vibe of the night. It was almost like just going round to a friends, chilling out on the sofa, drinking and talking. Overall it was a really great night and I really enjoyed the little time I was there. Massive thanks too the beautiful Sarah again. You can check out their old collection online now...and soon the new one.
