Daily favourite foundations

So I have always been a foundation girl. I've been wearing foundation since the age of like 11, okay white lie...maybe not 11 more like 14/15 but you get what I'm saying. I've had my fair share of different foundations, including the one and only MAC studio fix fluid. As much as I loved it at the time, I believe there are plenty of drug store foundations that are just as good if not better. So here I have two drug store foundations that I use daily and thought I would review for you all.

Lo'real true match foundation - shade N7 Ambre

Now this foundation to me is the definition of perfect for my skin. I am one of those annoying people that don't leave their spots alone and have ended up with horrible sport scarring on my face which I am so embarrassed about however this foundation covers it perfectly and I don't even have to use a concealer beforehand. I am not sure what is the set coverage for this foundation, however I have been using it for about two months now and it can go from sheer-full coverage..
So whatever way you like your foundation this does this job. It says on the bottle that it is super bendable and I have to say in my opinion it really is. I use this foundation with several different types of brushes including the Real techniques stippling brush and the ELF small stippling brush and foundation brush. I find it looks a lot better when using my ELF brush however using the other ones does the job just as well. I also love the finish of the foundation, it gives me a semi matte/semi dewy finish which is great for me as sometimes I tend to get a bit oily but that's more in the summer months. So in my opinion this foundation would be great for any type of skin tone (as they have a crazy amount of different colours for different shades) and people who suffer with acne/acne scars. It's just generally a fabulous foundation, I can't really fault it and it's quite inexpensive as well as it retails at only £9.99 from boots and superdrug. So check it out guys and see what you think.

Rimmel London stay matte - shade 400 Natural beige

This is a foundation I have been using for well over four months, I used to be hooked on using the Maybelline matte mouse but I wanted to change it up so I grabbed myself this foundation and haven't looked back. First things first, it definitely does what it says on the tube, stays matte. I prefer matte over shine any day and that means with everything from lipstick, to eye shadow to just everything. Anyways that's definitely beyond the point, back to the foundation. Moving on from the fact that it's what it says it is which is very important, it's great coverage. It does claim to be a lightweight foundation however it is build-able and really makes my skin look clear as possible, just the way I like it of course. Sadly I feel there are some cons to this foundations, the first thing would be the shade range. I am the colour 400 and that in fact is the darkest shade they have and they only have about 4 shades. I think the coverage and look/feel of this foundation is great and a lot of different skin tones, lighter and darker would like this foundation, so Rimmel sort it out! The other thing I am not too keen about is the size, I just wish they made it bigger. It only retails at £5.99 so it is quite cheap however I wouldn't mind paying a few extra pounds for a bigger tube. Then again I must say I have had this certain one for about three months now so it does last as you don't need to use too much. So again if you're like me and want full foundation coverage and nothing less try this one by Rimmel, I am sure you won't be disappointed and well if you are...my bad.

Lo'real and Rimmel
Now you're probably wondering what's this, well I wanted to also add in something I have been doing a lot recently with these foundations. So like I said I have been using the Lo'real for the last two months and the Rimmel foundation for about three/four months and love them both. I love the coverage they both give to my face and the finish, so I thought one day what would they be like together. I mixed them up together one day and I was super happy with the outcome. The coverage was BEYOND full and ahhhh I just can't explain. I just loved the way it looked. Matte finish and flawless cover, what else could I wish for in a foundation. It doesn't give me a cakey finish, at least I don't think so. So what else to say other than that, these two foundations are great and I suggest everyone check them out. I am sure they'll be worth it.
