Cosmo masterclass

So recently I went to an amazing Cosmopolitan event, It was their masterclass which I luckily won two passes and got to attend too. Now if you have no idea what I'm going on about it was basically an evening where different people from different spectres of the fashion industry got together and told a bunch of us 'wannabes' so to speak, how they got into the industry etc...

The event started around 6:30 but before hand we were greeted with a lovely glass of bubbly while we all waited for the evening to start. May I just say that everyone looked beyond gorgeous and brought individuality and style to their outfits. I must say I was rather jealous of a few outfits out together, I felt slightly under dressed.

When the even finally began and we were moved into the conference room we had amazing goody bags on our seats. It was filled with things like face masks, lip sticks, dry shampoo and some other cute things, so I was pretty happy about that.

Finally the talk began and were introduced to the panel of talkers by none other than Cosmopolitan's editor Louise Court. She made the whole night great and really gave good advice through the night that I took away with me. The other amazing people that were to speak to us all was jewellery designer Laura Gravestock, buying manager for River Island Leanne Jones, Senior press officer at Miss Selfridge Lisa Goody, co-founder of Fashionpopcorn.com Emily Fleuriot and fashion director at Industry magazine and website Drapers Ian Wright.

Throughout the night they all shared their experiences from working from the bottom to getting where they are now, their pros and cons of the industry and the best ways of starting a career in fashion. It was an honour and experience to hear from each one of them and it definitively made me think more about how much I want to get into the industry.

Although they couldn't have said enough how hard it is and how much work you have to put it in, it's definitely something worth working for. Starting from the bottom, having to do small, unpaid things may be long, tiring but eventually it will get you to where you want to be. Nothing in life is easy but if you work for it, no doubt you'll succeed. So without further or do I'm off to send another trillion emails to company's about internships. You gotta do what you gotta do. Bye bye for now everyone.

P.s - I promise I'll try and write on my blog more.

P.s.s - sorry there are no pictures. No camera + dead phone battery = no pictures on blog to make it look half decent. My bad

Turquoise ends

Hey guys I am back with a post for you all. Today's topic is the subject of turquoise hair (or some would say green). I recently decided to change the look of my hair, and get rid of my boring golden/brown ombré ends. So I guess I am going to talk to you about the results and give you a mini review of what I used to dye my hair. Here is a picture of my hair below:

Firstly let me start off with my opinions of the colour. When I first dyed it, it came out pretty dark. Almost a dark blue. But after washing out the excess dye and then styling my hair, it showed it's true colour and was really nice and...turquoise looking. After washing it the next day because of the dye that was all over my skin it has become a lot more greener than before. Still turquoise but more green than in-between or blue. I still really like the colour of it and I don't hate it just yet.
The product that I actually used was called 'La Richie' and it was the 'turquoise' one. In the tub itself it looks like a really dark blue colour, that's probably why it looked that colour when I first Dyed it. It is only a semi-permanent dye, so If you end up hating it if you use La Richie, it will eventually wash out. So no need to worry yourself. Another thing the dye itself comes alone, so you would need to buy a tinting brush or gloves yourself. I bought clear gloves (the ones you usually get in boxed hair dyes) to use as I personally prefer to use my fingers to dye my hair.

The Lettice stamp

Hello wonderful people of the internet, it has been a while. How  have you been? What have you been doing...reading even? Okay, enough of the questions. I am sorry for the lack of posts, I really am but not having my own laptop/computer really does get in the way sometimes and also I really have had no time/inspiration to sit down and just...type. But I am back, back to talk about fashion with all you wonderful readers.
Now the topic of today is a person in fact. Not a piece of clothing or shoes or a group of different people, just one person and that person is the beautiful and fabulous Phoebe Lettice. Who is Phoebe Lettice you ask? Well all I have got to say is, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?! Phoebe is the new member of Made in Chelsea. Several different faces has crossed our screens in the new series and Phoebe just so happens to be one of them. Why are you writing about her? I hear you ask again. Well this blog IS about fashion and I do really love Phoebe's style, so why not. Now you know all the basics, I shall get on but for all of you crazy people who don't watch Made in Chelsea, here is a picture of Phoebe so you can understand why I adore her fashion so much:

Above is a pure example of Phoebe Lettice's unique and individual style...

Good ol' YouTube

Well hello guys. I know I said I will do more posts frequently but in a space of hours, it's crazy right. Now I just wanted to talk about something I always think about doing. It's not fashion related unfortunately but this is just a one off, I promise. So to make you all understand more I'm going to explain...in detail. Now it's come to my knowledge that a lot of people have been becoming somewhat 'famous' because of what they do on the social networking side of the interweb. And I mean things like either posting videos on Facebook or blogging or making videos for YouTube, a lot of young people are getting fame over doing so. But enough of my rambling, main focus today is about YouTube. Good old YouTube, so I hope you enjoy reading!
Oh do you like my little drawing I did above there? Yeah, being a fabulous artist is one of my many talents. So moving on. YouTube, YouTube, YouTube, what's there to say. Okay so growing up I (and my brothers) have always been one of those kids who LOVED being centre of attention. My dad has endless amounts of videos of us pretending to be in a band or performing a play we wrote to him or just the usual videos of birthday parties and me when I turned 7 shaking my stuff to S club, you know the usual. So I have always loved being in front of the camera. But YouTube, It's like a whole other ball game. It's fine talking to your friends about your views on stuff, but sitting in front of a camera and sharing your opinions to potentially millions of viewers is daunting. Not only that, there's the main factor that I for one would worry about the most, and that is "what if my friends see it". Now this one is something I have/would worry about the most, because let's face it, kids today aren't the nicest. They are so quick to judge others on things they don't even understand. I know many people who can talk for England and would be AMAZING YouTube vloggers but the thought of all their friends/family seeing it and being judged scares the hell out of them...

Cut it out

Hey guys, how you all doing? Sorry it's been so long, my aunt decided to go on holiday and leave me at home with no laptop. So no laptop, meant no blogging hence why this is my first one in a while. So moving on to the point of this blog post, I like many other young girls tend to try and not follow fashion (well I don't) however there is always the item of clothing or pair of shoes that always get to me and I feel I have to buy. Like the creepers for example, I used to think they were hideous and people were crazy to wear them. Then I started seeing different ways they were getting styled an slowly but surely started to like them. Long story short, I bought a pair for myself and lived in them up until the day they ripped at the side. It was an emotional experience I must say.

Now moving on to the purpose of this blog post. There is a certain shoe that is very in this year and I seem to see them a lot more as they are getting more fashionable. And they are the cut out boots. Now there different styles, colors, brands etc...But they all come under one title. Here a few examples of my favorite styles of the cut out boots trend...

Tabby the top cat

Waddddup guys. I am back with another post for all you lovely people. The topic of today is about the one and only Tabatha Richards aka Tabby. Who is Tabby you may ask? Well my dear blog readers, I shall inform you on who she is and why I have decided to dedicate a post about her. Below is a picture of her to possibly jog all of your minds:

If you guys are still questioning who this beauty is, let me jog your memories. Tabby Richards appeared on the well known channel five show, 'The Bachelor' as one of the girls competing for the heart  of  Spencer Matthews from the show 'Made in Chelsea' and she definitely made an impact on me, to say the least. Now that sounds weird but as soon as she got out the limo on the show I thought "she has to win". She is extremely beautiful and her beautiful personality showed as the weeks went on.
Now I'm not here to talk about her time on the show (I really did want her to win though *sad face* but she's totally much better than that Spencer), I am here to discuss my love for her fashion. Now her style throughout the show itself I would say was very casual but quirky.
Looking at other pictures of Tabby her style seems always so different yet the same, which I love...

Favourite three

Hey guys I am back with another post for you all. Now like I keep repeating, I LOVE fashion and all different types. However I am the type of person who wouldn't see my favourite celebrity for example wearing a pink, spotty blouse and then feel I want to get a pink, spotty blouse. I may like a certain style but I never tend to have to dress that way. I just throw on whatever I feel like and I feel like I don't really have a certain style, I wear pretty much everything and anything. But there are three ladies that not only do I adore but I think their individual style is amazing and I love how different they all are.

The first lady is Alexa Chung. Now I say Alexa Chung because I love her preppy, quirky style. Her outfits are so simple yet so fashionable. She tends to stick to dark/neutral colours and not bright, in your face colours. Here are a few of my favourite outfits she's worn:

  • Now explaining time. I really like the first outfit here because it's so simple (I am going to be saying this a lot) but so...'Alexa'. The pinafore/dungaree with a white t-shirt is such a classic look in my opinion, rather school girlish but I love it regardless. She opted to go with no tights, and why not because she definitely has the legs for it. Then on her feet as far I can see she is wearing a pair of dolly shoes, however I would probably pair this outfit with a pair of boots or trainers but I guess that's a personal reference thing.
  • The second outfit is so so so so so....so me...

Here is a collage I put together in my free time of some of the fabulous things they sell on Daisy Street:

Now I first came across Daisy Street when I was on my Instagram looking at pictures as you do and I had stumbled across a picture of a pair of the cutest Chelsea boots...

Hashtag Models photoshoot

Hello fellow bloggers or just blog readers. I feel before I can truly begin my blogging journey I need to introduce myself to all of you. Well it'll be rude otherwise. My name is Tamara and I a 17 year old girl (you'd be surprised with half of the things I say and do) from none other than the amazing city itself, London. Well that's a lie, more like surrey, but London is London. I am in love with fashion and all different styles, music lover and obsessive talker. I have been referred to as weird, loud, annoying, crazy and even funny at many times in my life. So starting up a blog seemed right up my street if you ask me. Anyways before I blabber on, I guess I shall start off with my very first blog post, I do hope you like reading it as much as I will definitely enjoy typing it.

So recently I bagged myself a more than amazing job, at a modelling agency. Hashtag models to be exact (check out the website here: http://www.hashtagmodels.com) and I couldn't be more than happy. I mean why wouldn't I love working in a industry I love so much. Fashion is something I very much love. Anyways enough about me (again) back to the point of this blog post.  So on Saturday 23rd March I went to the very first (for me) Hashtag Models shoot. Below are a few behind the scenes  shots:

So the day didn't start of as planned...
