Not only that but my beautiful best friend and upcoming model Isabelle Besque was walking the show and also ended up opening it, which was a very proud moment for me and I'm sure for her. I was like a mum at a end of year show, taking pictures and filming every moment. The overall night wasn't just about fashion, there was music, dancers, people watching getting up on stage and having their go at the catwalk. The show was hosted by the beautiful DJ and presenter Cinderella and co-host who hosted the show last year Johnny Parch. There were some amazing brands on board, some that stood out to me had to be firstly Yen. The pieces were to die for, very feminine and glitter orientated pieces and I love me some glitter. The brand itself was founded in 2010 and based in many places across the world. From London to LA then all the way to Tokyo, so definitely a well known brand with beautiful pieces.
The other brand the caught my eye was Kelly. Which was one of my favorites, not only was in ore with her pieces but I was definitely in ore with the models who walked the designers looks, all second best to my main girl of course. Can we talk about that last dress please? I'm literally crying because it's not in my wardrobe. I wouldn't even wear it, just to look at it. So beautiful.
Overall there was so many talented designers on board both men and women's wear, a great team behind the show and you could really see a lot of time and dedication went into each segment of the show. I had a lot of fun and get your money at the ready for next year's show but if you're in the Philippines or plan to fly out there around Christmas time, there's plan to hold a charity House of iKons show out there to help young designers who are based there that don't have the funds to attend or be involved with big shows over here in London. Do you see why I love the whole idea of this already? Amazing message Savita is sending out to the fashion world. And if any of you are attending any LFW shows or have already, I hope they're both as inspirational and crazy as this one. You can also stay up to date with any information regarding future shows and the professional pictures from last night over on their Facebook page here and their main website: http://www.houseofikons.com/
I loved how all the pieces were inspired from some part of the world from Africa to Tokyo to the Caribbean. So man different and unique pieces. I would just like to take the time to congratulate Siveta and the rest of the team on putting on a fabulous show. Cant' wait for the next one. You can watch the video down below:
