Tommy gear jumper - Vintage aka my dads / Grey skinny jeans - H&M / Shoes - Nike air force 1's Today was a pretty chill day and there's nothing more I love then just throwing on a jumper, jeans and trainers. Totally comfortable, but still a bit stylish. This jumper is the most comfortable thing I have ever owned and worn, it belonged to my dad but sneaky me had to snap it up. I'm totally in love.
Yesterday I had the amazing opportunity to attend a catwalk show during the world wide known event, London fashion week. Me and my boyfriend Matt was invited down by my best friend, this would be my first ever LFW event I've attended and it truly was an unmissable night. So let me just give you a bit of background on House of iKons and why I believe not only it's a great way for people interested in fashion can experience a great night but why it's just a good cause overall. House of iKons was founded by Savita Kaye and is closely linked and works with the Princes Trust, which is a charity that helps young people/adults who are homeless, unemployed or in just general needs get back into the working world and education. Working with Princes trust enables young designers worldwide, to showcase their creative talents. The first show was in London last year and it went of the charts and will be held in LA. Not only that but it the shows air worldwide to 100 million viewers, in 120 countries. The whole point is to celebrate the new generation of global fashion talent, showcasing the best talent, with the emphasis on new and innovative fashion. As you can image it's a truly amazing cause and I'm amazed that I got to experience it.
So here is part two of my two part posts about the Lush interview procedures. I've just got back from my trial shift which was so much fun I must say, short but sweet. It lasted about an hour and it was really simple, a lot more easier and laid back for me than the group interview. So I came in and was met with the trainee manager who brought me into the back and explained what was going to happen for the next hour. Really basic things, just making sure I'm approaching customers and trying to do as many demonstrations I can, she gave me apron to wear and brought me out on to the shop floor. Before I really started the manager and then another staff member demonstrated a few products on me so I knew what to do with the customers. Can I just say how amazing is the body shower scrub 'Rub Rub Rub'?! I tried it for the first time and my hands have never felt so smooth and soft since I came out my mums womb. TMI sorry. You can purchase it here anyways, if not go into your local store and have a try, it's totally worth it. The sea salts really exfoliate the skin and the jasmine flower infusion and organic lemon juice leave a really good smell behind.
I've decided to write up yet another job interview experience/process post as my last one, which was for Topshop was very successful and too this day one of my most popular posts. I also really love these because if you're anything like me then one day before your interview (or on the day itself) you'd be frantically searching blog posts and youtube videos on what to expect when going to an interview. And of course in tradition that was exactly what I was doing the night before my group interview at Lush. I applied for the Christmas temp as a sales advisor, so I wanted to be interview ready and take in as much information and advice my brain would allow.
